I'm a viola, violin, 5-string, and chamber music teacher in the Durango, CO / Farmington, NM area. I currently coach the viola section of the San Juan Symphony Youth Orchestra, and in the past I taught for the San Diego Youth Symphony / Community Opus Project and the Bremerton Symphony Youth Orchestra program for three years each. I also conducted children's string orchestras and founded the Kitsap Youth Summer Symphony camp. My repertoire arrangements have been performed by youth orchestras and chamber ensembles. I love working with neurodiverse and Spanish-speaking students!

I have B.A. in Viola Performance from the University of New Mexico and studied with Jerzy Kosmala at Interlochen Arts Camp, Ellen Rose at Southern Methodist University, Atar Arad at UNM, Kevin Mallon at the University of Toronto, and Ingrid Matthews in Seattle. I've performed  on viola, baroque viola, and violin in groups such as Washington D.C.'s Bach Sinfonia, the Mid-Atlantic Symphony, the Santa Fe Symphony, and Durango's Bach Festival. Now I play with the San Juan Symphony and chamber music groups, and I recently branched out into playing jazz on an electric-acoustic 5-string.
